Been away on a trip and not attend life drawing session for a month. Very rusty indeed. Time to go back to the fundamentals and get my act together again. Roughly 1.5~2 hour working time with charcoal. The lighting, to my horror was back to the good old 15 light setting, with all spotlights pointing towards the model. Maybe I should wear my sun glasses for the next session...

awesome Jim!
George - How have you been lately?
Jason - Thanks for dropping by and the kind words.
Wow the rendering is amazing. Apply your technique in acrylics :)
Sammy - Since they keep on inventing new acrylic materials,I was hoping they would comes out with "acrylic charcoal". That way I won't have to convert at all. :P
Hahahahaha I wish they could do that with watercolors :P
Hmm proportions don't feel right to me. The head looks too small for the torso, which feels too small for the legs... The composition is awkward to me too, feels like you crammed his head in... Nice rendering though
Loop - Ha, nice. Haven't seen the "Loop crit" in a long while. *smile* Thanks for the feedback, dude. There quite a few things I need to work on still. Like I said, very rusty...
i gotta say that the head proportion doesn't bother me, kind of pushes the that you are drawing this from a low viewpoint. i'm not sure if it's "correct" but it doesn't feel incorreect to me. just my two cents.
your "basics" are very, very good ;3
